She could understand almost everything I say. As we’re going out, she quickly grabbed her sandal to bring along with her. I told her, “no, put it back. It’s not that sandal. Take the ones outside”. I said it repeatedly and then she put her sandal back to the original place and went out to look for her shoes. Haha.
The other day, we’re in the kitchen. She took something out from the drawer. I told her “we’re going out now” while walking to the living hall. I noticed that she didn’t follow me. So, I went back to the kitchen to see what she’s up to. She had just put back the thing she took just now to its original place! Haha! I did try to make her help me to put her toys back everytime we’re done with them. Maybe it does help to cultivate the habit of putting things back into it’s original place.
Now, she’s very good at climbing the grill. You just turn your attention away for a few seconds and she’s half way up the door grill. She’s very strong. So, now we make sure the wooden door is closed so that she has no chance to climb on the grill. Scary. There was on time, she climbed till the top and there were no more grill for her to grab to climb further. She cried so loud. Hahaha!! She was angry.
She’s starting to love soft toys more. She kisses them on the nose. Sometimes she just kiss & kiss & kiss & kiss for about 4-5 times non stop. So cute!!
Everytime I ask her to squat to wash her buttock, she’d make the “mmmm..mmm..” sound as if she’s trying to poo. Haha!!! Almost everytime you put her on the potty after every meal, she’d poo. At least I need not worry about constipation. When she’s about to poo, she’d make the “mmm..mmm..” sound. The next thing you see in the potty is her cute poo.
I like to ask her to show me gigi/teeth. She understands both. I also teach her to hug me tightly with both her hands. She’d do that to daddy & granny too. She can say “duo” means ear in mandarin. Everytime I ask her where’s her eyes, she’d make her eyes so small and smile. She would make the lizard sound “ chut chut chut chut” whenever we mention bird and she’d rub her thumb and index finger to call for the bird. Previously, that sound is to call for the lizard cos she heard the lizard making that sound before. I think she got confuse half way. Every time she cries, to make her stop crying instantly, I just need to say “oh..listen…is that the lizard?” She’d stop crying instantly and concentrate to listen if there’s any lizard around with that innocent looking eyes looking left and right slowly without turning her head.
Every time I say, “Lets shower!!” She’d quickly pull up her shirt and run to the bathroom where she usually gets her bath. After I took her clothes off, she’d collect them and put into her laundry basket and her diaper into the rubbish bin. She got a very cute tummy and buttock. Hehehe!! After I took of her clothes, she’d pat on her chest. If I haven’t take her nappy off, she’d try to grab it to take it off. When she sees the toilet bowl, she'd make sound too cos sometimes i let her poo there when she has hard stool.
Whenever I open the cover of the pot to check her food, she’d say mom mom. She wants to eat. Haha!! She’s still having porridge with broccoli, cauliflower/cabbage, carrot/pumpkin, and fish/chicken/pork.
No signs of new teeth. She only has 4 at the top & 2 at the lower gum.
Lately, I think she’s bored with “Ducky eats lunch” storybook and “posy the pig” book. I’ve both in my head already. She won’t lie down to listen to this story anymore. But if tell new stories, about the moon, rabbit or anything, she’d lie down and listen for a while. Later, if she finds my own invented story boring, she’d get up and shake her head as if telling me she doesn’t want me to continue.
Lately, her favorite shows are “Danny & Daddy” & “Bunny Town”.
There was 1 time she saw a paper bag with a picture on it showing a family with parents and kids holding some presents. She point to me the man in the picture and say “daddy”. She thought that’s daddy. Hahaha.
Mom bought her a magnetic drawing board about 2 months ago. Mom taught her to hold the magnetic pencil properly and mom said zhi ying is very eager to learn new things. So, there was one time she simply grabbed the pencil and scribbled on the magnetic board. Then I said, “Hey, hold it properly”. Straight away after that, she changed and held it the way mom taught her – the correct way.
The other day, yea yea (grandpa) taught her to show “gong xi gong xi” when we’re having dinner at the “Ham Cha” vege shop. Later, in the car, while having milk, suddenly she unlatched and showed me “gong xi gong xi” while lying in my arms starring at me. Hehe. Seems like she wants to tell me she just learn a new trick. So, I told her “ Oh, so clever”. She looked excited and happy.
She’s also very good at climbing stairs and now learning to come down by sitting on the staircase, leg down first and followed by her buttock. She’d do it slowly but seems abit clumsy so I always have to be with her whenever she’s going up and coming down. She always pulls our hands and leads us to the stairs to follow her up and down. Hahaha.
